He likes when the middle is open for maneuverability. I see his point, but they do seem kinda silly on small boats. I haven’t been on one of those so I don’t know anything

I would assume that it's much more comfortable having a dual helm when doing a lot of long distance sailing. When you're heeling for hours and days on end it seems like it could be a big deal to be able to sit to whatever side is needed.

How do you know weather boat will roll a lot? How to pick the boat that is comfortable on anchor?

I have sailed so much that I can usually just look at the hull shape and determine if it will be comfortable or not. The best thing is to get on some, sail a bit and determine a hull shape you like that meets your needs

@@ChasingLatitudes I've heard quite a few Americans are moving over there as things deteriorate here. Specially the ones with a lot of money. Buying second places they can run to, when the shit hits the fan. Let's see how it goes over there when our housing market crashes.
