I'm a Double Windsor type of guy but that was the best looking Half Windsor I've ever seen. Also, the Triple Windsor is just one step too many.
@howtotieatie1370 Жыл бұрын
Yes, Half Windsor more simple knot, but not less beautiful, it just some smaller than Double Windsor. Triple Windsor is also a very beautiful knot, this knot is more massive, and will be look better if you have a shirt with wide collar.

Never has there been so much suspense attached to tying a tie. Love the music! I tie a full Windsor, but I am not sure I could do it without looking in a mirror and I am damn sure I could never do it facing the shirt. I am in awe of dressers who can do so. Since I can also tie a neat bow tie, though, I feel I do have a skill that most men don't these days. Those beautifully knotted ties deserve better than that wrinkly shirt. Ha,. ha. It's a great vid!

The half Windsor is so much better than The Kelvin or Four-in-Hand knots that I used most of my life, which I learned in catholic school and looks half-assed. I have an average looking tie, but when I tie it in a Half-Windsor I get so many compliments at my office! It makes every tie, shirt, jacket combo look like a million dollars. Double and Triple Windsors have destroyed my ties so I don't think they are necessary.

The tie was initially the name for a neck scarf by which Croatian soldiers who fought under the French flag in the Thirty Years War (1618 - 1648) were identified. This "fashion" detail has attracted great interest from Parisians who have always been interested in quality novelties in the field of clothing. Young French King Louis XIV. he started wearing a tie in 1646 when he was only seven years old and thusset the fashion standard for all French nobles in some way. They soon adopted this new garment, worn a la Croate ('in the Croatian way'), which also became the new root of the French word cravate. How much the French liked the tie is sufficiently evident from the fact that in 1667 a special regiment of Royal Cravates was formed, and was named after the Croats who were part of it and wore a tie. It didn't take long for the tie to expand across Europe as a sign of culture and elegance.🇭🇷Greeting from Croatia🇭🇷

Knotting a tie has been one of life's greatest challenges for me. Thanks for the video for which I find the Windsor single knot somewhat easy going with a bit of practice. However, some info about how to choose the right tie (length, width etc.) would be extra helpful.
@howtotieatie13704 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your review, for 1 and second knots will be good a ties with average length, and for third you must have a tie a little longer (150-160 cm)
