I have GoPro 10 black. I shoot 1080p coz my Pc doesn't support 2k editing. when I upload to youtube the picture quality drops too much. I have seen many videos and tried exporting from editing software using the 4k setting. still no use. how you do it. Please tell.

When you're recording and the battery is close to dying, can you simply open the door, plug in an external power source (battery bank, for example), remove the dying battery, then plug in a fully charged battery all without stopping filming? *Of course, I mean in a dry environment, not wet*

Yes, you can actually. It's a great way to change out batteries to continue recording!

So I plan on buying the 10 for our Alaska Trip in September. When I'm driving I'll use the suction cup accessory for the windshield. As we are driving a lot to just get about 10 second clips throughout the drive as the scenery changes. is there a way to do that without having to just use the app on my phone to record on and off while driving... when I edit things it'll be a lot easier than going through an hour of footage driving and cutting it down.

i have a older go pro with the old app on my phone. black icon with a blue and white icon logo. I still want access to the features of that app with my old gopro. I now have the gopro 10 black. Its an icon app that is all black with letters Quik icon. Can i still use the old blue white icon app or upload the new icon. and if i upload the new will it wipe out the old blue/white app which i want to retain.

Hi Jake, Sometimes the light does not turn off even when it is fully charged. If it's been charging a long time, you might want to turn it on to check the battery level.

I just bought a new gopro10 .. checked out the how and what on your video .. (thank you for it ) ... I have a question .. when the camera is on or charging ... is it normal that it gets hot? ... the battery got hot too and I took out that one and have now put in the spare one to see if it's the same .. I don't want to cook my brand new camera .. it doesn't seem right to me that it got hot .. having never had one before, I don't know about this but I do know electrical stuff and heat don't mix .. and usually means "danger" ... something is wrong .. I would really really appreciate some advice on this subject .. thank you

GoPro has a really good 30 day return policy, so you might just have to do the return when you come back from vacay! If you decide to keep the one you have, the Hero 9 is a great camera too- very similar to the Hero 10.

I followed along with the steps here, but I’m getting an error message when trying to update the camera (red exclamation with “there was a problem”). Great video, appreciate it. GoPro actually recommend max 256Gb Sd card, not 512Gb so if you use 512 you do so at your own risk. I'd trust what GoPro say, they make the cameras, ya know? G

hea Jordan I bought a new go pro 10 several months ago,,,it worked great,,loved it,,,then it started overheating and freezing up and turning it'self off,,,,now it will only record 8 to 10 minutes and stop,,,,its no good now,,,,,,so, do you know of any where that can help get it going again,,,? I've set it only on 4k 30 and it still stops and cuts off H E L P !

That sucks! Have you contacted GoPro. It's covered by warranty for a year, and if it not working, they should send you a new one.
