Great video. I just bought the GoProHero Black 13 bundle with the handler. I used your video to set up the camera. Thanks! One thing though, when I downloaded a video file from the Cloud from Go Pro to my Windows laptop and PC, I needed to buy a CODEC from microsoft store to play the video. WTF?????

Yo dude. Just one more thing I wanna say. Great video again, however as a novice, my first gopro your instructions seem to apply to the NTSC format. GoPro is a worldwide product. I live in the UK so the gopro needed to be set to PAL (for obvious reasons). With that in mind the values on the video menu differ to your video. Kinda made me go learn. Awesome tutorial! I have an older GoPro, the most painful part was getting the video off the GoPro and trying to stitch the files back together. The standard file naming wasn't even recognized by 3rd party software to be in consecutive order. So frustrating. Did they address this critical part of the overall experience? Maybe do a separate video on this final part of getting the complete video to play off the GoPro. Much appreciated!

I'm looking to buy the Hero 13 Black to start a KZbin while in a Semi. I'll be mainly having camera pointed to me while talking (Audio quality need to be good in a semi) but starting with some scenery, maybe pulling into a rest area and resetting on a park bench. At other times I may not be pulling off and just record in the truck the whole time. I'd like to support you here and am anxious to buy your book. But, either with or without, I was hoping you might share some quick setups for that use of the camera.

Never had an action camera before, just bought the gopro 13. This was very helpful thank you. Is there a way to shut off the beep.beep, beep, when you turn it on. I want to video animals. But don't want to scare them off when I turn it on.

Yes swipe down for settings, on screen 2 the musical symbol, tap on it and you have high, medium and low volume plus no volume

Do you recommend only shooting in the 8:7 aspect so that you can later on change the digital lenses to whatever view you want? Is that best?

You can do that for the most flexibility, but most often, I prefer to record in 16:9 widescreen to minimize my editing workflow.👍

Congrats! Be persistent and produce high quality videos. It can be discouraging at first if your videos don't get a lot of views, but as long as you love doing it, just keep going. Of course, get my book when it comes out because all of the knowledge in there will improve your videos greatly. Im not just trying to sell a copy of the book- I just have received lots of positive feedback about how much it helps. Best of luck to you in your journey 👍 You can do it!

My issue with the gopro is I can be recording and it just gets a mind of its own and it decides when to stop recording. It doesn't overheat or battery does not die. I like gopro but don't get it. I have a hero 8 black that now turns on and instantly shuts off. Can't get it to do anything. I have just recently upgraded from the 8 to the 13. Big increase. But camera still shuts off when it feels like sometimes

It really depends on which setting you choose and how much idle time you have in between recording. If you record continuously at 4k-60, you can expect to get about 90 minutes of recording time. 👍👍

To prevent any overheating issues, Looping is only available in 4k @ 30fps or 1080 @ 60 or 120fps. Hope that helps!

Yes, you can. But since that lens was created before the Hero 13, you just need to tap the lens icon and tell the camera it's on there, just like you had to do with the 12. Besides that, it's basically the same lens.
