Summer Lawn Treatment for Healthy Soil and Grass

I have been following doc for about 2 years now. I live in TN and followed a lot of what doc has recommended to include use of the products he suggests. I did redid my front lawn last year and it’s looking really nice, still work to do but on a great track. Now I’m getting ready in about a week or two to do the much larger back yard with the knowledge to improve upon. I have one of the best lawns in the neighborhood and i have not even quite made it to the year mark yet. We’re getting a little bit of rain today for the first time in weeks and my lawn is still green, cutting twice a week and all the other neighbors are in burnout mode. The system and products work!

Doc been following you since Bermuda Lawn Guide. I'm in Southern NJ and have Zoysia. I use PGF balance early March after scalp along with 2 step preemergent. I use PGF complete lite coating every 15 days from May - Jun. Then I switch to Super Juice every 10 days from July thru September 10th. Also always use Humichar to improve my soil. Reel mower @ .75 inch. Neighbors comment all the time!!! Thank you.

Doc, in a previous video you were dealing with a lot of gnats swarming in your face and you were saying how annoying they were. Wearing a plastic face shield is great when the gnats are swarming. It is the best defense for gnats. Try it and I am sure you will agree.

The only day it's rained at my house in 14 days, was two weeks ago in the morning on a day there was zero percent forecast. I just happened to be spraying super juice at the time.

100° is easier for hot season grasses but I keep trying up here in Michigan. Might have to. break down and try hydretain to reduce the water i’m putting down

Hey Doc, I’ve been following your program for two years now and I want to start out by saying thanks for all the info and knowledge. My grass has never looked better. Although I am having a issue with my grass recently having a fluorescent green/yellow color to it. I am pretty consistent with humichar, dirt booster and the PGF 16-0-8. I did do a soil test on my lawn in February and I was high on phosphorus. I live in Arizona and water everyday. I’m not having a issue with it growing at all just an odd color. I keep it at 5/8” and mow every 48hrs. Do you have any ideas as to why my lawn would start to develop this fluorescent green/yellow color? Thanks for any help. Shawn

My lawn is bermuda. It was half Poa Annua. The Poa Annua finally died off the past 2 weeks. Not sure if because of the weed killer or because of the unusually intense heat lately here in Dallas. How do I keep the Poa Annua from coming back? Pre-emergent? When do I put that down?

Question Doc...I am in Canton GA with Bermuda grass. I've been cutting short this Spring & Summer. Green and beautiful. However, we went out of town for 1 week and returned to my backyard browning all over . Following week (last week) it rained everyday and still no green. It barely grew. Should I put down PGF Complete to feed the soil or something else???

Question about leveling please: How much mixture can you use on top of healthy, growing grass in low spots before you risk killing the grass ?? If the low spot is 4-6’ around and 2-3” deep, can you just fill it in and smooth it out, and the grass will grow up through the mixture in time ???

Hey Doc. Quick question about the dirt booster. We have a westie and I'm sure you know that they are earth dogs and love to snoop in the dirt. She is also allergic to grain so I am a little concerned about putting corn distillates in the yard. If she gets into grain products she'll basically start sneezing like she has hay fever. Just wondering what your thoughts are.
