And I witnesses testimonies that also prove there was more than one shooter. It is very possible that CIA were the ones to coordinate the shooting, also the secret service never bothered to check or even tell them about Oswald. Most likely they knew that Oswald would be a great candidate to assassinate the president, because he is a known Russian associate. They would and could try to start a war with Russia. Which of course was to stop Russia from acquiring more nukes. This would also cause tensions between US as it would end in 1991. This would make sense as to why it lasted so long. JFK wanted it to end, but it would take too long for it to end. I mean look at the Cuban Missile Crisis, people were telling him to act on it by nuking them. When he comes back, he's shocked to find that the war still happened and Britain lost and is now NAZI occupied. It seems that killing Hitler didn't stop NAZI war goals. This show had so much potential, starting with an obviously fascinating topic, superb casting choices, with a captivating set-up, clever foreshadowing, good story-telling and great initial character development, but instead of keeping the focus on the day-to-day process of investigation and preparing to save JFK like it starts out as, and perhaps further exploring the concept of "the past pushing back", and delving deeper into the potential involvement of the CIA and possibly even the mafia/Castro/LBJ and all the other dozens of possible angles to examine it from, instead they just lazily sidetracked everything onto the generic content of Sadie's ex-husband's interference, her injury recovery and the the boring ridiculous memory loss detour. They didn't even bother exploring the altered timeline with society in a shambles beyond a few empty lines of dialog. The whole show turned into a garden-variety feel-good love story with the original storyline almost in the background.

Cuba was a near miss, and there could well have been another such incident as the sparring escalated. I was 12 when Kennedy died. The danger then and now, is not one of strategy, but of personality. If Kennedy's assassination had been prevented, there would have been some changes but not as much as this show had. In my opinion, Kennedy would have been reelected but by the end of his second term, he would have probably been in a wheelchair due to his back problems. It is also believed Jackie would not have legally divorced him, but knowing about his many affairs, she would have lived her own separate life. US would have pulled out of Vietnam sooner and the CIA would not be around anymore. Kennedy would have named his original choice for his vice President and replaced Johnson with Senator Symington for the 1964 Election. I think Nixon would have still been elected in 1968 and 1972. Thank you! I'm about to hop off this "recap" in the first 90 seconds when the dude can't even get names correct🙄🤦🏾♀️ Like, what else did you get wrong if you can't even manage the name of a character who's only in the show like three minutes??😂🤦🏾♀️

Here's what killed me: it resets each time right? Why not immediately go after Oswald in 1960, return to the present, and see of it worked and he was the guy? Then, if not, try again.

The mini-series totally DESTROYED the story from the book! The book made you actually care for the characters… taking a side-kick to Texas was the single biggest mistake in the book to movie transfer… not making a point out of the relationships/interactions with the townspeople/school of Jodie was the second biggest mistake… I mean, if they didn’t have enough time in 8hrs to do it right I’m pretty sure Hulu would’ve coughed up the money… Even if they didn’t, Amazon or Netflix would’ve jumped at the chance… I expected a great story with JJ Abram’s involved… So, in closing… (The book - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) (The miniseries - ⭐️1/2)

I love the book but... it's soooo long and unnecessarily so. The series is well done.

The Stephen King book is an excellent read. I was disappointed with the series. Could have been better.
