My H. Subcalva was growing so beautifully! It was so lush and full and even had TWO (yes, TWO) peduncles... and then..... I found the mealy bugs...... AND THEN I found SCALE on a completely separate plant while I was treating all the plants living with the Subcalva.... when it rains, it pours, doesn't it? xD Lovely tour! Something to aspire to after the great pest assault on my home is over! :P

Miro, hello! I want to get a grow tent, but I’m overwhelmed with the accessories, especially the lights. Do you think the kits are worth it, or should I spec out each part? Also the shelves, where did you get them? BTW, Glad to see you’re so tall, I love a tall man, lol! Can you tell us what you do for a living, or is this your full-time job? Also interested in hearing about your country, we didn’t learn about it in school; at least I cannot remember. What is your native language? Can you say a phrase(s) in that language in one of your videos? Love your videos, thank you! I’ve learned so much about my new addiction, HOYAS.

@walle56672 жыл бұрын
You have a beautiful collection and you are very funny. Got a bit of a shock hearing your size, you certainly don't look like a giant on camera. I thought you just have small Hoya 😁 How does one keep up with so many plants? 🤔 I currently have 43 house plants (half of them Hoya) and I must admit I am pretty busy keeping up with them all. I water most of them once a week and that takes a couple hours. Then there are a few candidates that I water twice a week (my mini orchids) and a handfull of guys that I ignore so they don't drown. And still I usually end up forgetting someone 😬
@BasiePlants2 жыл бұрын
Haha, everyone seems very surprised by my height 😅 Maybe it was too much realness too soon 😬 I have no idea how many plants I have but it is probably 300 that are part of “permanent” collection and I have about 20 propboxes going ;) It doesn’t take me long to water since I use a pump sprayer and that helps. Keeping them in tents and cabinets helps because sometimes when watering gets messy I don’t have to clean up right away. There are also some other tricks - making sure that there is something that retains moisture in your mix, self watering pots, moss as top layer for aroids etc. I would say it takes about 1-2 hours to water them all :) But taking them of cabinets and tents to shower them, and to clean those spaces can take days. But I do that only once a month :)
