I'll add another tip: Don't put them in self-watering pots. Mine was so big and lush, and it constantly needed watering. So when it was time to repot, I thought I'd be smart. Turns out, it was not a good idea - at least not in my conditions. Half of my vines have dried off, I am going to assume due to root rot. Need to tackle it soon, but will likely have to restart it. It looks a bit ridiculous in its big pot (now too big).

This is one of the most helpful videos. Thank you! I just got mine a few months ago. Found the only online seller in the US and got their last plant. So I'm propegating to make it bustier as well. For me, Perlite has worked the best but will try soil.

My favorite Hoya! Have had it for about a year now and after much trial and error, she’s finally pushing out new growth! 🥰 I can’t wait until she’s a full bushy babe like yours

Oh, and I'd say they smell like some green tea heavy on the citrus. It's a really nice scent. Also, I had it in the plant room first (south) but it was way too warm there. So it's been in my bedroom (north) for about two years now and it loves it. It's the coolest room in my house. But that makes sense, since their natural habitat is on the cooler side.

Hello! Beautiful amazing linearis!! Wow. Can you please tell me if yours has ever had fungus gnats? It doesn't have root rot, I just barely repotted it about three weeks ago, I think that is how it became infected. But I am at wits end getting rid of the fungus gnats. Thanks for any suggestions and help.

Hi! It probably has had fungus gnats at some point as most of my plants do 🤣 A lot of the times fungus gnats come with the soil so it's good to use a good-quality mix (don't recommend pretty much any soil you could find at a box store). The best way to get rid of them for me was using beneficial nematodes, they're basically little organisms that eat the fungus gnats before they hatch. Another option is diatomaceous earth. To control the existing adult population, get yellow sticky traps or Katchy insect trap. Give those things a Google and see what would work best for you. Hope that helps! 😊
