The MIS 500 is a 1 phase micro inverter, so is there coming some 3 phase inverters with 1 or 2 inputs? Also a higher AMP would not be bad, the panels increase in size (and bi-facial) all the time, increasing AMPs too.

Justin, love all your series of videos! I researched the Hoymiles and like what I read but I read their warrantee completely and it says the warrantee is void if not installed by licensed solar installer. I have 40 years contracting and electrical experience but I am ( years retired. I have a large barn w/ S. facing shingle roof and I want to put 16KW + or-- on it next spring. The info on internet is overwhelming but videos like yours help tremendously. Is there any way Hoymiles will warrantee the DIYer? ------ Rick F

@SSMLivingPictures I like the hybrid inverters and microinverters by Hoymiles. Hope to test a string inverter by them in the future.

Can you ask them about UL listing or UL Certified? I understand that they are marketed for North America, but CSA is a Canadian agency and most energy companies in the US rely upon UL standards. I have seen and read solar DIYers on KZbin have to change out components because they do not have a UL STICKER on them.

Hoymiles does and will continue to have all the certifications to comply with US & Canada standards. You just need to look for the products that they offer in North America. You can review all certs on their website. Link in description.
