I have been forcing myself to switch to Resolve from Lumafusion with this same iPad and I’m loving it. I unlock the other pages and operate primarily in the Edit page tho

Hi I have a question, if you unlock all the pages and after you turn off your iPad, and next time you turn on your iPad will the pages be there or you have to unlock them again. Please clarify if you can. Thanks.

@@Ayaz_Qais you have to unlock them each and every time. On my iPad Air sometimes the other pages won’t unlock right away so I’ll hard close the app then reopen and it all works out. Sorry this took so long to reply!

Awesome video - exactly what I was looking for. I have the same iPad and just recently started using Da Vinci. Since you cannot export in 4K with this iPad, could we edit on the iPad, save the project and export or continue editing on desktop?

I have the exact same ipad and iPads were the only products I was buying from Apple as they supported them for years but this pre M1 post M1 distinctions are bothering me.

It’s a bummer but understandable in this case as I’m sure Blackmagic wanted to make this all the features available on older iPad models as well but they just couldn’t handle things like 4K exports.

These distinctions are in the nature of big advances in tech. Apple moving to desktop chips from mobile chips means that the older iPads simply cannot match certain M1/M2 workflows. These include, much faster RAM, faster storage, media engines, many-fold improved GPU and CPU, significant ML upgrades, etc. Apple should push, not hold back because it will upset those with older, less capable devices. That is why the iPads are leagues ahead of Android tablets in inherent performance. We should be welcoming these advancements.

@@hoyoungwonalso false, it absolutely can quickly do 3k exports, the A14 Bionic is about ryzen 5 3600x in power if not slightly stronger. adobe rush can do it just fine

Hi, great video. I’m thinking of making the jump from iMovie on my Mac to resolve so I can edit on my Mac and iPad (on the go). Do you know if you can easily sync projects between the Mac/ipad, or do you need to start/complete a project on the one device?
