Mann I'm rediscovering Hoyt Axton songs, career and it's cool. 11/21

Hoyt's mother Mae Boren Axton co-wrote "Heartbreak Hotel" which was a breakthrough hit for Elvis Presley back in the 1950's and she is responsible for introducing Elvis to Colonel Tom Parker. You know...behind every great man is a woman. I give you Mae Boren Axton -- "Thank you for Elvis and Hoyt, Mam."

A great song. You know that when you see covers of it . Brownsville Station, Arlo Guthrie, and Hanoi Rocks. My favorite cover version might be Linda Ronstadt's. The fiddles are incredible. Hoyt's version is great too. He wrote a lot of incredible songs that other artists had hits with.

I'm only here bc of the judge in Minneapolis presiding over the trial of Officer Chauvin. The judge was seen pulling into the courthouse "blasting from his car" this tune. I just had to listen to what sort of taste the judge has. Yuck is all i can say. But hey, that's why God makes vanilla and chocolate and vanilla!
