I love how fast it is. Shooting the ULTRAVIEW Arrows. I have the RX9 and the RX8. Way faster than my RX8.

Have you noticed a difference shooting the ultra view arrows?

Liked the review and liked the message at the end so much that I liked and subscribed. They called him Emanuel which means God is with us. Nice Job!!!!

Good review, can you start including valley as one of your criteria in future reviews. I find that is one thing that is missed in 95% of the bow reviews done every year. As strictly a hunter, I like having a good amount of valley and avoid bows that don't have them.

I do try to factor that in and speak about it in the video.

There's plenty of people willing to spend 2K on a Hoyt carbon. When you factor in the cost of quiver, stabilizers, and grips of Mathews, it's all relative. I think it's a nice shooting bow. At 29.5" draw, I got a 10fps speed increase over the 8 Ultra. The interesting thing with speed, sometimes it means going to a stiffer spine and the increase in arrow weight negates the speed increases. I think the draw is smooth, but it's more demanding than last year and reminds me of the demand of the Mathews, but still better feeling with how the weight stacks. All in all, a nice release again this year.

Mathew’s accessories are priced too high but you have to option to buy other brands. Plus all those items you mentioned (except the grip) you still have to buy for the Hoyt

Agreed. Personally, this bow fits the bill. I wanted a carbon bow last year but opted for the alpha X33 because 33 ata is where I want to be on a hunting bow. This year I ordered the Ultra out of all the bows I shot this year it was a clear winner.

About time a review says the bow is over priced! Won’t lie though if I could afford it I would consider it.

The RX-9 Ultra is the first Carbon release that has me upgrading from my RX-4 Ultra. When it comes to hunting bows I like 35” axle to axle. For example my Xtec weighed 4.2lbs with a 7” brace and ata of 35”. I’m pretty sure you will never see specs like that again. You carry your bow way more than shooting it while hunting. I’ll take the lightest and warmest bow I can get. I’m 68 years old, if I had younger eyes I would probably get the RX-9. The biggest factor to buying a Hoyt for me is the 1/4” inch draw length and let-off adjustment.

Thanks for watching, and for commenting. I completely agree with wanting as light of a bow as possible, and that the 1/4” draw length adjustments are awesome.

Not sure about how much the reflex matters, all I can say is I shot my Matthews vertix against the Bowtech cp 30 trying to decide what to hunt with this year. The Bowtech has a longer brace height and much less reflex and it’s seems more forgiving and consistent with fixed blades. Field tips or mechanicals doesn’t seem to matter as much. IMO there are a lot of factors that go into it, and the better your form is the less it matters.

Thanks for the comment. There is a lot of great info in this. Knowing your equipment and shooting your bow consistently are way more important than specs in my opinion.
