I have a range of emotions about Chase and Sierra's collaborations; 1. Musically, I am completely blown away by their talent. Their individual voices are golden and their harmonies are lovely. They each seem to have mastered a range of instruments and have a sensitivity to each song that belies their youth. 2. As a parent, I find it touching to see a brother and sister collaborating together 3. Their song selection has opened new musical doors for me and allowed me to revisit some old ones. 4. I had gotten away from listening to music and now that I am binging their videos, it's brought me a lot of joy.

I'm making it my mission to memorize this melody. To retrain myself and force light the fire I used to have burning inside of me to sing and play guitar. That passion was snuffed from me and I'm 30 now. I'm in love. Improving and growing every day. And it's time. She's worth re-callousing my fingers. Worth the hours of practicing and retraining my voice to flow. I've been a robot for a long time. She sent me this a while back. Through trials and struggle, it's come back up on my feed. This is my sign. I miss music.

Lyrics and Timestamps (Edited to fit their slight wording changes.) Intro 0:04 Cherry Wine (Sierra only) 0:31 [Verse 1] Her eyes and words are so icy Oh, but she burns Like rum on the fire Hot and fast and angry as she can be I walk my days on a wire [Pre-Chorus 1] It looks ugly, but it's clean O-oh mama, don't fuss over me [Chorus 1] Way she tells me I'm hers and she is mine Open hand or closed fist would be fine The blood is rare and sweet as cherry wine [Verse 2] Calls of guilty thrown at me, all while she stains The sheets of some other Thrown at me so powerfully, just like she throws With the arm of her brother [Pre-Chorus 2] But I want it, it's a crime That she's not around most of the time [Chorus 2] Way she shows me I'm hers and she is mine Open hand or closed fist would be fine The blood is rare and sweet as cherry wine (Humming) [Verse 3] Her fight and fury's fiery Oh, but she loves Like sleep to the freezing Sweet and right and merciful, I'm all but washed In the tide of her breathing [Pre-Chorus 3] And it's worth it, it's divine And I have this some of the time [Chorus 2] Way she shows me I'm hers and she is mine Open hand or closed fist would be fine The blood is rare and sweet as cherry wine In a Week 4:27 [Intro: Chase] I have never known peace Like the damp grass that yields to me I have never known hunger Like these insects that feast on me [Verse 1: Chase] A thousand teeth And yours among them, I know Our hungers appeased and Our heartbeats becoming slow [Pre-Chorus 1: Both, *Chase* ] We lay here for years or for hours Thrown here or found, to freeze or to thaw So long, we'd become the flowers *Two corpses we were, two corpses I saw* [Chorus 1: Both, *Sierra* ] They'd find us in a week When the weather gets hot *(And)* after the insects have made their claim I'd be home with you, I'd be home with you [Verse 2: Sierra] 'nd I have never known sleep Like the slumber that creeps to me 'nd I have never known colour Like this morning reveals to me [Verse 3: Sierra] And you haven't moved an inch Such that I would not know If you sleep always like this The flesh calmly going cold [Pre-Chorus 2: Both, *Chase* ] We lay here for years or for hours Your hand in my hand, so still and discreet So long, we'd become the flowers *We'd feed well the land and worry the sheep* [Chorus 2: Both] They'd find us in a week When the cattle show fear After the insects have made their claim After the foxes have known our taste I'd be home with you, I'd be home with you [Bridge: Both] And they'd find us in a week When the weather gets hot And they'd find us in a week When the cattle show fear [Verse 4: Both] And they'd find us in a week When the buzzards get loud After the insects have made their claim 'nd After the foxes have known our taste [Outro: Both] 'nd After the raven has had his say I'd be home with you, I'd be home with you I'd be home with you, I'd be home with you I'd be home with you, I'd be home with you Instrumental Outro 9:18 (Humming and soft cooing from both) Took some liberties: Sierra often starts phrases with an under-her-breath "and" which sometimes is audible, sometimes comes out only as "'nd" and often only comes out as a "d" sound at the start of her next word. It sounds very nice but does not transcribe well into lyrics. I included the most noticeable ones and dropped the rest. I also went ahead and corrected "the damn grass" to "the damp grass" because I assume that's what Chase meant. Lovely duet. Well done.
