What month would be the best to view autumn yellow reddish folliage in Kyoto? I thought end of October would be okay but still very green 😮

Was getting tickets for this difficult? Like was there a long wait to buy or get on the boat?

We couldn’t reserve our tickets online due to sell-out, but we took the Sagano Romantic train up the mountain from Torokko Saga station Arashiyama, as last minute stand by passengers, and when we got to the boat station after a short bus ride from Saga Kameoka station, we only waited about an hour to get standby boat tickets. It seems they save extra tickets for last minute walk-ins! This was one of the funnest things we did in Japan☀️
