the HP-42s is sooo much simpler. all you need to do to convert polar to rectangular is SHIFT -> CONVERT -> REC. Such a shame it's banned by NCEES

I accidentally deleted rectangular polar routine . I have a book of programs and needed Y label but I want to rectangular polar routine.. can I just put it back in or will it need to be installed first again ? I already have other videos installed.

Thats not an issue man you can just put it back in. Make sure to not let your batteries die or you will lose all of your programs. Also, when you change the batteries change them one at a time or you'll lose the programs. I learned that the hard way 😆

There are plenty of resources telling you how to program these, but none covering how to USE the programs. Not even the book orrers much more than a very basic overview.

All of you here for HP35 surveying programs need to get “Surveying Solutions for the HP35s Calculator” by D’Zign. Don’t even bother with video tutorials until you have that book. It shows a newbie everything you need to start out with the HP35. There are some misprints and errors, you can email me at this gmail handle if you want to know where the mistakes are. The more advanced programs are difficult to learn without help so hopefully the guy putting out this video will help you. I have 5 years experience with this calculator, working towards my LSIT. I have some custom programs given to me by another surveyor, but baby steps when starting you….Get the book!! Also one other tip, change the batteries often, maybe every 3 months if your using the calculator alot. CHANGE THE BATTERIES ONE AT A TIME OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR PROGRAMS, turn calculator on in between individual battery replacement.
