Latex gloves.. lol the only thing you dont want is static... touch the case first to ground yourself if you are worried... after 25 years working on systems I have never damaged a component due to static... also do not install drives with two sided tape ever. Get the proper dive caddy for 2.5 to 3.25... the metal ones work best... cheers

True, i have a custom built computer with i5 2500k and it had like a 650ti or something like that, i upgraded the gpu to a 1050ti now its a pretty good computer. (using 16gb RAM). Just orderd a used HP Compaq Pro 6300 Sff to run servers on. (i will upgrade the RAM to 32gb). This is a pretty good computer for mid range gaming with a 1050ti or running servers, hehe.

Yes. The power draw with i5-3470 and 16GB of RAM shouldn't exceed 100W, so another 100W of leeway. My PC with i5 and 4GB of RAM with no additional GPU didn't exceed 65W on full load. Unfortunately, PCI-e slot won't go above 25W or so.

Luis Estrada, if you're looking for a solid LP graphics card without having to worry about power consumption, go for the GT 1030. You get decent performance and the computer will be a lot more reliable when compared to running it with a 1050 or 1050 Ti.

Hey, Mxkdi, I've been wanting to buy this exact PC for some days now, but I want to change the PSU to an EVGA 430W, and add a 1050ti. I've seen some tutorials on how to change the PSU for larger versions of this PC, but I'm worried about having enough space for the 430W. Do you think I could just move the HDD over to that spot where you were planning to put the SSD, and then replace the proprietary PSU with the EVGA 430W? Basically I would be using the space taken up by the HDD and the proprietary PSU for the new PSU. TacticalTactics, If we are talking about the HP compaq 6300 SFF (small form factor) then yes, it's 25w limit from what HP says in their site, but if you have the 6300 micro tower then it's 75w. By the way you can't upgrade the psu in the SFF, but you can upgade it in the micro tower with 24 pin to 6 pin adapter and little research about it.

Picked up 3 6200 Pro SFFs for $20 a piece a year or so back and got 2 of them running so far to help kids doing this stupid virtual learning. Hardest part is finding a low profile gpu that's also short and low power. I have a GT710 for testing systems with no dedicated video but even that is too tall.

For those recommending upgrading to a gtx 1050 ti, what sort of GPU utilization are you able to get? I'm not seeing the point in using a 75W GPU in a 25W PCI slot, not without expecting some severe throttling or other performance issues under load. Maybe the 25W is just the rated supply, and not the actual ceiling of what it can pump out? Even if that were the case I would be concerned about damaging the regulating circuitry on the motherboard by drawing three times the rated amount of power from it. Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Hi, yes RX 550 will fit fine only low profile with low profile bracket and you can buy that video card on ebay used..

I know that 240W may now seem like much but i upgaded mine with an i7 CPU, 1050Ti,SSD and HDD and the max Wattage that the PSU was using was somwhere like 140-150 Wats.Even why the HP say that the GPU slot cant support more than 25W im not having any issues with it so far.

Hmm, not really. This tower only has a 240 W PSU unit I believe. The GTX 1650 takes like 75 W. The recommended PSU is a 400 W PSU so I don't think it's compatible.
