I followed as per the instructions and was very careful, after i have done putting it all back together, when i turn the laptop on it powers on and turns off after 3 sec and then turns on again and then powers off again. No display is been shown within this. Please help me out with this. Thanks

Yeah you fked up somewhere. Don’t say you followed the instructions. you tried to follow the instructions. Check to see if the ram card is emplaced properly. I had the same problem

This is a long shot but do you know if disassembling my laptop which is this exact model would help fix the problem with my keyboard? A multitude of keys on my keyboard no longer work at all, and I deduced it down to a hardware problem, so I know for a fact it's the laptop, not any programs or the OS.

Possible. Start by clearing the keyboard cable / connector.

Hp should get sued for their faulty laptop for this model. So many people have issues with the keyboard just stopped working and it's the hardware.

Sorry but there ist a few generations of 840 wit few different coolers. You need to disassemble, and check it by your self.
