I had the same problem as most comments in this video, the back cover is quite tricky the first time if you don't know how to do it, and they definitely seem to forget to explain that in this video (a great start for a disassembly :D). But with one screwdriver and some firm plastic tool I managed to do it relatively easy: unscrew them all, then start on the back, where there is space in between the cover and the screen, very (very!) gently levering with the screwdriver, but avoid applying pressure to the bar that fixes the screen. Do this until there is space enough, around one millimeter will do the trick, so you can put the plastic piece in between the cover and the pc, nearby that same bar. Once the plastic piece's fitted in, that's it. Just slowly slide it all around the border of the cover until it starts popping out, and then it will be easy peasy. Good luck!

You should show how to remove the backplate. It's not as simple as just loosening screws on the G6.

Definitely do that. Two ram modules running together in almost all cases run faster than one big module.

@@Dryloch yup better with 2 modules to run in duel channel. I also recommend using the same brand or at the least the same speed memory if youre upgrading it.

Unfortunately it is difficult to upgrade the GPU or graphics card on a laptop as these usually come equipped with an integrated GPU, meaning the manufacturer has baked the graphics card onto the motherboard.

wow battery life is worse than G4 still SATA drive is removed now. I quess we have 4ghz quadcore on all models to compensate. Credit goes to intel tho

Shows where the screw are, doesn't show the proper technique for prying to back off or that the screw are captured. Definitely room for improvement there

I had the same issue, until i found this video -> kzbin.info/www/bejne/joi4nZyLgt5-fKM , that shows you need to also get the two recessed screws (8 screws total)
