This is a sick design , you will need external fans to maintain the cool temperature so that the fan won't over work
@techextranet9 ай бұрын
It is sick for sure. External fans are for sure a good idea. These gaming laptops do get hot.

I seen a guy test it and they keep you from over clocking it too much and it seems the plastic shell keep it's internal temps from creeping up. Though I see this one is aluminum

hi. i just purchased this laptop. fan is always running with decent speed. is it due i9 and trx 4060.
@techextranet9 ай бұрын
It shouldn't run non-stop. It may be on if you are plugged in to external ac adapter? There is usually a setting to turn that off in the bios. You can also update the bios and check out this page: h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-envy-x360-15T-Fan-running-continuously-when-plugged-in/td-p/7552725

I want to buy this laptop for engineering study purposes. I am gonne run solidworks, autocad, ansys and other CAE software. Here i7 variant is available. So is it good for me. Because someone said it has heating problems and gpu will die eventually. Is that true. Ehat is your thought @techextranet

@mjusama369 The machine is still very nice and works well. I usually recommend that people get the extended warranty for any machine they need. It’s hard to say if it will have an issue in the future but I have had 0 issues so far besides the fact that mine was refurbished. It may have had the issue you mentioned and HP repaired it and sent it out. And as you saw in the video, it was making an odd noise from the fan hitting.
@mjusama3694 ай бұрын
@techextranet thank you. I am getting 1 year warrant.

What would you recommend for a touchscreen laptop that can game but is more for creators than gaming? Like 120 hz display, oled, touchscreen, and rtx 4060 or higher dedicated graphics. No integrated graphics. Oled not necessary, but at least mini led, no ips. Budget 2k, rog flow x16? Asus proart? Proart is only 60hz but perfect otherwise.
@techextranet11 күн бұрын
Technically, whatever you can get a better deal on is the way to go. If you will be relying on this machine for work, I usually recommend ensuring you get a next day onsite repair plan from Asus or whatever manufacturer. That way you don’t have to ship the machine back if it has any issues. You can look this up before you buy the pc. And get the plan to be next day by the manufacturer. They use 3rd party certified companies but they will do the best job. I do like the look of the Rog Flow X16 and the fact it has an amazing screen. I also do like the Proart line from Asus since it is focused on content creation. I guess it also depends on if you are ordering from a sub par 3rd party. You will need to buy these units from Asus direct or only from Amazon if listed as “sold by and ships from Amazon”. I never recommend the third party sellers on Amazon or Walmart or Newegg. I see these units also seem legit at Best Buy even though I don’t love their pricing. I would pick a few of the models you like and try to track them on camelcamelcamel.com to see the price history. I got this Hp model for my wife and it has been amazing. It was refurbished and worked out every well.

Why did they stop selling the i9 version?

Well, it does seem like it has low stock everywhere. HP does have it here: tidd.ly/3Wssipg and you can customize it.

i bought new did not hae any issue like u showed with fan but it seems that always fan runs with some speed. how i can reduce that. i can return the product but if this is not an issue and can be adjusted in setting than plz help me.
@techextranet10 ай бұрын
Yes, the machine is very good. If the fan is on, it’s expected if you are doing any gaming or tasks that utilize the video card. If you aren’t doing much and it is loud you can try this (I will make a video on this eventually): In Windows, search for and open “HP Command Center.” On the Thermal Profile tab, select the quiet mode. Let me know how it goes.

This or the Asus TUF F15 (2023)? Both with 32gb of RAM.
@techextranet4 ай бұрын
I like the Tuf and the HP. The HP does surprise me and helps you save $$$. I have heard the same about the Tuf lineup but don’t have one to test. But I think my winner would be the Asus Rog Strix G16 or if I had unlimited budget: the Asus Rog Zephyrus lineup. Those are beasts. My daily machine is a Strix G16. I have a review on my channel if you want to check it out. The Strix G16 would be powerful but heavy. The Zephyrus is super expensive but lighter. Sorry to add more confusion.
