I just got this printer out the trash, people where moving out and threw it away, it was well taking care of , and works great! Boy was I lucky now I don't have to b8y a printer save my self 200 dollars or better. Also great video channel too

Yes you can go to settings and use gray scale or just un check color print

I paid 80 bucks for mine, it lasted a little over 1/2 a year before it just wouldn't turn on. Don't know what happened?! :,( I really loved it... I was perfect. Luckily I got the warranty lol. I'm thinking of getting the same one again tho haha

Loving the printer but I am having a problem printing colour, how do I select the printer to print colour, my inks are good it seems to print black and white by default. when a test page is printed the colour is there. Thanks

Kevin, I have the HP Envy 4502 and I have tried to print a color power point in black and white and as many times as I change the color to black and white in the printing screen on the computer, it always print in color, what gives

the question is that whether I can print in black only and this printer wont need colours in order to print black text. I have some epson printer atm and even tho I have black ink and i am missing any colour ink it wont let me print anything until i replace that one missing colour even though the document is all black text...

My 4502 will not print on 4x6 photo paper... The paper keeps getting stuck. The option to print 4x6 is available in the dialog box on my mac when I go to print.

I am having the same problem. No matter what I do it will not print on 4x6 HP Photo paper. It gets jammed or nothing prints even after setting the "Properties" to print border-less photos on photo paper at best quality. Paper is loaded "Print side down" in the tray, tray is then inserted back into the printer and every attempt to print has failed. So disappointed with this printer.

Have any of you had the issue where it doesn't print the photos on the paper? I'll click image size 8x10 and paper size 8.5 x 11, and it looks perfect on the screen, but then it cuts off about 1/5 of the picture, usually at the beginning of the printing.

This is the worst printer. Paper jams, it will print fine, then the next time you use it, it won't print at all. Doesn't help if you restart the printer & the computer. Waste of money & time.

+Fr Louie Goad If you don't want wireless, why did you buy a wireless printer? Why not connect it via USB? As for coupons - well if you don't want them, just don't use them - they're not obligatory.

If you loose the original booklet or the BOX that the thing came in - and you don't have the "super duper" code to set up wireless printer - because of some EXCESSIVE security phobia that HP or Microsoft impose - you are SIMPLY - s k r e w e d - You're not going to be able to set it up. But - as a counter issue - Linux - which is way more secure than Winblows 10, almost automatically finds the printer and sets up the needed drivers and enables wireless printing. I'm trying to set up this dang printer for my Wife's Laptop. It would be almost easier to just go buy a new cheaper printer. I've detested this printer since we got it. And HP is absolutely no help on the problem. Its way past the waranty and its just too small an issue for them to help with.
