Hi, My HP adapter is 90 W (19.5 V & 4.62 A). Blue angle plug. I read elsewhere I have to use a resistor ranging from between 300 - 390 k ohms. Is this correct or I can use the values provided in this video ? Because it wasn't stated how many Watts your power adapter is. 🤔😕 Thanks ! Best Regards,

Is the resistor also connected to a ground location on the board or was that spot where you soldered it just a place nothing was connected to? Basically I'm asking if the resistor just goes between the charging cable and positive, or is it also connected somewhere else in the circuit?

No it's just between the VID & (+). 😏 On the PCB he used empty traces to solder the VID (blue) wire to. Then the resistor coming from the white wire (+) to the VID. 🙄
