Got 2 of these on black Friday for $379 each. Great displays. Not missing the HDR at all since HDR is near useless garbage in this price range with most monitors using the fake HDR 400 cert.

I bought a Samsung curve 27" that I am not happy with, so I ordered this. It was between this or the lg equivalent, which r almost the exact same except for the fact that lg had hdr. The design won me over with the omen. Let's see how good it is. I'm excited. Hopefully it pairs well with my cyberpowerpc 3700x and rtx3070.

Great video. Man is that a sexy monitor. The diamond shape of the stand would take some adjusting to, as you said because of the space it occupies but the rest of the monitor makes it worth the it.

michael dagostino Standard mode. Image: 20-25 brightness / 80 contrast. Level 4 sharpness, dynamic contrast off. For gaming and productivity, I like using same settings but with low blue light mode.

@@Justin-mb8ve I'm aware, but that monitor is one of the best you can get on the market right now for 1440p/240hz. It uses a newer version of the LG Nano IPS panel that the HP Omen 27i has also. That's why I bought it. I don't care what the brand is, so long as the performance is good.

I’ll chime in here even though I’m not OP and not an expert but I do have a Series X and did a ton of research looking for a monitor. First thing is the LG gl850 will work with the Series X at 1440 120hz BUT for some reason you cannot utilize Freesync with those settings on that monitor. Don’t know why. I don’t know how big of a deal that is (as in how much of a real world problem is this) but my reasoning was, why would I spend $400+ on a premium monitor to unlock the features I paid for by getting a $500 Series X but yet, the monitor doesn’t work with one of the key features? So that was a no go for me. Secondly, the Samsung G7 is more expensive by $200+ usually. Although I’ve read it is very good for a VA panel, it’s still a VA panel and will have the qualities of such. While I did not test the G7 specifically I did try another highly reviewed VA panel, the Dell s3220dgf. I put it up side by side with the Omen and long story short, it did not look as good. The colors were washed out compared to the IPS display of the Omen. Also I could see some ghosting which was distracting to me. These are symptoms of a VA panel. Also, being 32” the 1440p resolution did not look as crisp and clear as the 27” Omen. In conclusion, I went with the Omen 27i. Colors look awesome & vibrant, you get 1440p @120hz with Freesync on Series X, and the design is really cool imho. Yes, mine has some IPS glow but I honestly got used to it after a few days and the pros of this monitor outweigh the cons. If I were you, I’d go with the Omen 27i.

Had the LG27gl850 and for some reason you have to disable Gsync in order for you to get 1440p 120hz. $399 at Best Buy But I switched from LG to OMEN 27i and so far love it. 1440p 120hz with Gsync on. Also you will love the VRR on the OMEN something you are not getting with LG Price for OMEN 27i $499. I recommend if you want to use most of the Xbox features. HDR not available in OMEN but you won’t miss it
