To go beyond the keyboard and get to the battery, torx, specifically T8 (I thought it was t5, oops) Otherwise just a normal small phillips head screwdriver will work Note if you want to take the keyboard out *do not remove it from the top* instead open the laptop turn it on its side and poke through with a screwdriver

Hello :) I recently installed the latest BIOS and update my graphics drivers. Shortly after that I experienced these weird graphics artifacts on my screen whenever I use programs that use 3D hardware acceleration. Do you have any ideas what the cause might be? HP Support were any help btw :(

What you have done to change de termal paste is WRONG, wrong procedure, the right way to damage the board, delete the vídeo so others dont make the same mistake.

I agree completely none of this video is even close to what you should do. firstly you shouldn't use battery operated drills to undo or do up screws especially since he isn't wearing a anti-static wrist strap. I was amazed tho by how he took off his keyboard using a box cutter/knife, that is wrong on so many levels and the last thing you should do.

Chris Allen agree. The service manual says you have to poke threw a hole on the other side to bring the keybord up

does anyone know my laptop completedly dead no power then i open it and check power input there is a short circut on power input. i removed power connector and check terminal voltage its 19.5v. when i put it back to main board it drops to 0.8v. after that i put 11.1V through the battery terminals its started blink 9 times yellow led on power input.

problem I had an solution I found: after reassembling the probook the power button was faintly on and probook would not start. to fix this just hold the power button for 1 minute and release. I hope this helps someone.
