Depends if the HD panel works with the Probook 6560b and also if you mean internal and external.

Many different ways of doing the same thing.

It will be better not to switch to a Full HD because it may not worked out well. Depends on what exactly is a model of your laptop and screen you are getting. I would not recommend.

Not exactly, if you have 1366x768 stock resolution you need an new HD-Display cable, if you have 1600x900 stock you can change to the 1920x1080 resolution by only changing the display -> Plug and play.
