Justin Tse is not thunder bolt 3 port. It is either USB C OR USB 3.1. THUNDERBOLT 3 is an Apple exclusive, specifically only on Apple computers. Keep that in mind for future reference. Great video and keep up the great work

Hi Justin, I really enjoyed your review of the HP Spectre X360, I'm looking for a laptop at the moment and started off looking at Lenovo, then the HP Envy X360, but I think I prefer the Spectre X360, I noticed you showed something in your review that most don't, using the tablet in portrait mode, I design my own stationery so that would be important to me, thank you, I'm still undecided whether to go for the 13in or the 15in, and I also need to find one at the right price, thanks again for a great review

@ Justin Tse, I just buy my new spectre 360 I7, and I'm really stressed about the heating problem and the annoying fan which always running all the time. I have reported this problem to the store, and they give me the new unit. But the problem still exists. Is it normal for HP ? The battery only run for 3 - 4 hours. my previous laptop was Sony Vaio and I never face this problem. I'm really worry the heating problem will damage others components. How to solve it ?

My girlfriend bought it based on Linus review, and it's amazing! Speakers are clear and powerfull, face recognition is awesome and the battery last a very long time.

When reviewing these please show us the power pack that is shipped with it - we'd like to see it for size comparison, even though it's probably a USB-C serving device it's important to see it either way. Otherwise great review, I had no idea that thing even existed; I'm looking for an upgraded version of the Spectre 13 from last year (the one with the copper strip at the back), not sure if they have that out yet.

3, almost 4 years later and this laptop has held up throughout undergrad (bought this on Black Friday 2016). It has easily surpassed my expectations with battery life, processing speed, and being able to handle current updates. I know this laptop has another 3 years of top notch performance!

"Ones you wouldn't even find on higher end computers" should have had a quick flash to an rMBP :P This is the way to do it though, USB C and USB A together for a few more years. Plus respectable key travel for this thinness.

Great review. I like the look of this laptop, but the strange keyboard layout is a concern. Did you have any trouble with the odd placement of the page up, down, delete etc keys along the right side?

I see you mentioned something briefly about color calibration. I purchased this unit recently and i noticed that the color temperature is too warm. Next to other devices, it looks almost yellowish. Is this what you were referring to ? If so, can you please tell what settings you used to calibrate it ?

My aunt purchased one of these November 29 2017. Started having issues within 30 days. At first thought it was quick books problem. Then last Friday keyboard quit working. Would not type at all. Kept saying “control key stuck”. We are in Florida and we purchased in Illinois so we took to local Staples. Tech worked and worked to get it to work. He thought it was slipping into tablet mode. We got back to house and it would not work. We had done a complete factory reset and lost our quick books. Called HP and after being transferred 4 times until someone could help. They tested by walk through and said defective computer. We are concerned as many people have complained of same issues. They say they will fix it but they will not replace or allow exchange. If this is happening to so many then sounds like a defect in this model. How can we reach HP in USA ( we got India when we called) to discuss this matter with a customer service rep?

im curious about your opinion regarding the screen aspect ratio (x360 16:9), would a surface book be better due to its 4:3 aspect ratio ? or is it not as important as say the newer CPU and USB-C ports in x360 (not found in surface book) ?

Hey! Great review. I have a question: when you're using the stylus near the screen, can you lay your hand on the screen without interfering with it? I know my note 5 has that feature as it detects the stylus when its near the screen. Thanks!

I wish they had a configuration with a 1440p display. I don't think I could go back to a 1080p display on a 13" laptop, yet 4K at that size is a bit excessive. Overall, I like what HP has been doing recently.

that thing is so beautiful. to be honest only the surface laptop is close and the Apple MacBook 12. now choosing between those I would go for the most powerful one, which I think is this one over here.

From what I've read, you can't charge the 15" (I don't know about the 13") from anything but the included charger because it is bios locked to look for the charger. Supposedly to prevent damage 😒

I hate to be the 'brand' type of buyer but I've hard some pretty bad experience with HP products with two laptop that failed due to motherboard issues after 2 - 3.5 year with low performance usage (web browsing, word/spreadsheets and videos). is the last year model and mine has an hdmi port. i used adapter for one of my monitors as is dvi input but the pc is still freezing after working about 5 minutes. is pretty frustrating when used as "desktop".
