HP Tuners Dyno Tune vs Superchips F5 Flashpaq Tuner

We had a customer that brought us his truck for a Dyno Tune. He said that he thought the we could get more from his truck. We took the opportunity to do a couple extra dyno pulls to show exactly what you get from a Can Tuner, Tune Programmers or Preprogrammed Tune that is commercially offered online. This is not talking down on can tuners, just showing what you get for the money. Maybe you don't have a Dyno tuner within a reasonable drive to help you tune specifically to your vehicle. Here's what this Superchips Flashpaq did for this Chevrolet Silverado and then we used HP Tuners on the Dyno to program a specific Tune for this vehicle. You can see the gains and performance are unmatched when you build a tune for a specific vehicle.

ya but w superchips you can put the stock tune back if you need to go to the dealer for warranty work you can disable the start stop function ford, you can deactivate the running on 4 cyl deal on chevy you can change the rev limit top speed limit tire size shift points etc...

Just a quick question on my 15 Silverado catch can s&b and exhaust it made me pick up 21 hp and 31 for tq on the tow tune and on the performance it was 20 and I believe 25 gains was the f5 have the latest update my gunner buddy said it was good for what I needed it for

So for a basic truck without major mods super chips is ok. For a truck cam, stall ect HP is better! And or $360, 6 hp vs $650, 13hp right

Not necessarily. Don't get held up on just the numbers. There's a number of other things that get adjusted as well for drivability. Idle adjustments, gear shift points, top speed governor, torque wall adjustments, etc and the lost goes on. Dyno Tune is truly the best way to go.

So my question would it be better to take my 04 5.3 tahoe to a tuner and let them tune it or just get like a Diablo or something like it instead mainly concerned about the cost aspect like would the pre-tune cost more than a dyno one or what? Little confused on what to do 😅

Depends on your location and what tuners are charging in the area! IMO, a KNOWLEDGABLE tuner hands on with your vehicle will always perform better. But the programable tuners are a good option for some bolt ons and people where tuners aren't available.

Cost of the Can tuner vs the cost of Dyno rental and paying you the tuner an hourly rate of? $350-400 Can Tuner, or pay you for an extra PEAK 6 hp and 13tq over the Can Tuner.
