First, let me clarify the difference between 'Grain' and 'Noise'. Grain may be intentionally added for a vintage or artistic look to an image. Whereas, Noise is generally undesirable, because it degrades image quality by introducing unwanted speckles or color variations. Now let's address the (Noise) issue. You must be aware of the fact that Noise is inherent property, present even in bright Light. While the amount of light decreases, the signal gets weaker and weaker - but, the Noise does not. Thus, Noise is noticeable in the darker area of an image. While Exposing with Log profiles, although it gives you higher Dynamic range, it causes introducing Noise due to the higher ISO (800) setting. So, what is the solution ? While Exposing with Log profiles, Try to make the image a bit 'Over-exposed' following ETTR.(Expose To The Right). Please note that this over-exposure should be with adjustment of aperture /Shutter speed Or if possible, add light; (Make sure you avoid increasing the ISO.) Thereby you can control the Noise - making it ,"Untracable". (As you have captured with Log profile, you can pull back the exposure, in post.) Hope, it will help you. Love from Odisha.
