My guy I've got a e90 335i I'm about to start modding. Should I just save up and do a 2JZ swap.. Goal is about 800hp reliably. If you don't mind me asking how much did your build cost? Love your videos the car is fucking intense.

To get 800 "reliable" hp I would do a 2jz swap if I were you but I would go the NA-T route if you're on a tight budget. Buy a 2jz GE VVTI from a gs300/sc300 for example, put forged rods and pistons, billet main caps ARP head studs and MLS head gasket in and you're good to go. But you'll have to run E85 to make the power (also depends on the compression ratio from the forged pistons). Note: there is more that goes into it, but as far as opening up the engine this is basically it.
