CatchMahDrift this is based on the bmw scene not NYC’s car scene. New York has a lot of r34s, welded dift 240s and rx7s and home of one the first Supra teams since the 90’s. On top of that its the mother land of Honda tuning, and the guys you see in this video are from the Honda world, so their young guys using the bmws as the new “cheap fun” tuning platform. The street races from the old days drive tuned gt2s and TT Hurricans now.

A few years ago my mom sent me to live with my dad over in Japan after getting in to trouble out here. Great street racing scene out there. I remember once a dude was trying to pick a fight with me so I challenged him to a street race. Only thing I didn't have a car. Luckily my friend let me borrow his. I remember wrecking is so bad it had to be salvaged. Everyone at the meet was in shock and laughed. My friend wasn't mad tho he simply told me...don't leave town

La Pancaki that’s driving basics. It’s like Tetris. U know what block is next then you kno where u gonna put the current block. Traffic moves in lines of symmetry. Racing in traffic is like switching between gaps and u get boxed in if u don’t pay attention to who is coming up. I do it all the time and I get stuck behind a slower car because I didn’t see where the one next to me went(blind spots) so I hesitate to make sure. By then the gap is closed and then you are boxed in.

For anyone that doesn’t understand NYC too well I’m gonna break it down better.. There are multiple people in NYC that build their cars (including me) that would love to actually track their car and legally and race (Drag and Circuit). But the closest one we had got shut down after the Times Square incident. There is an extreme amount of space in Long Island that isn’t being used and far away from residences that they should turn into different type of tracks. There are multiple different groups that are honestly trying to get tracks built and going. But the problem is the city and state isn’t allowing it and people been fighting for YEARS. The car community is huge in NYC especially with Mercedes, Honda, infinity, and BMW. So since the city isn’t trying to cooperate with the racers they take it to the streets 🤷🏽‍♂️. I’m sure if they did a go fund me for it people would all chip in. But idk why out of all these people they choose these kinds of kids that don’t even have real builds. Both cars are bought, and that Mpireboyz dude in the beginning is wild annoying
