Lithium is the only way to go. I have one that does upwards of 60 mph. It's only running on a two cell 7.4V LiPo with 35 amps of current. I put a video up yesterday.

@@thisoldmanchannel it took me a while to make the lithium switch also... solely because of the FIRE videos I use to see here on KZbin! 😂

100% Agreed... I'm making the switch seeing how many lithium products we already have in our households.

Really like what you did with your micro rs4, I just got one question for you what speed control are you using so you can run that 9.6v battery?

LRP Quantum Micro Reverse: Voltage Input 4.8 - 8.4 volt, 4 - 7 Cells, 25A Rated Current. They made a 4 models with the top of the line being the Quantum Pro Reverse which could handle the same number of cells but at a current of 75A and motor winds down the 7 turns. Ah, the good ole days...

Oh wow I didn't know that speed control could handle 9.6v, I got a old LRP Quatum competition 2 esc that is small enough to fit my micro rs4, I think I'm gonna try what you did thanks for the info & let's see some rc boat videos that would be cool
