First speed run with the RS4 and I'm happy for out of the box no tuning. Will keep working at it. Thanks for watching. Any questions or comments please leave them below. www.asiatees.com

HPI cars, if you keep them clean and use a good after-run oil, will start right up after long storage. I have an HPI mini nitro. Got it when it first came out. I think it is about 20 years old. today I dropped in some AA batteries, pulled out the glow plug and dropped in a bit of castor oil and it fires right up. Still has the original engine and piston/sleeve. Having trouble with an RS4 EVO one way bearing. But that car has been run lots. Break in your engine right and tighten all of the screws now and then. Unless you crash them they are rugged.

Damn dude you are good at counter steering with one hand. I know I have the electric version and it’s not the ideal car for tracking straight. But good stuff

Shawn I could use some advice. I have and HPI RS4 EVO3 with rotostart. The T15 engine. The rotostart starts the engine fine. But I notice that when the engine is not running, if I turn the rotostarter in the opposite direction, by hand, it grabs a bit. It is cleaned and properly lubed. To be clear: In the normal startup direction, the one way bearing does fine. But the one way also seems to grab a bit in the opposite direction. My engine is stalling. It idles sweetly forever but if I throttle it, it stops and I am thinking that the one way bearing is suspect. This is a simple engine to tune. That is not why the stall happens. Also when it stalls, I hear a sort of POOF sound. The engine is clean and and has good compression. I am thinking that when I throttle, the one way bearing grabs its shaft and kills the engine.

One way bearings will spin free in one direction and grab in the opposite direction

T15 is a old outdated junk engine . The 3.0 is 100%better ,I bought many old hpis with t 15 ,all were low on compression /shot

Nice one handed driving. I had my old belt drive Nitro RS4 2 out today, hadn't driven it in years.
@MrPland19929 жыл бұрын
MrBreeze What is the difference? I have a RS4 someone gave to me for collateral years ago, just need exhaust. Any real advantage with the newer ones? Figure I will just throw a bigger motor on it.

Well this makes my comment on the first start and break in video look pretty good. I guessed 45-50mph just based on your quarter throttle pulls on second tank... I didn't miss it by much.

Yep. I'm happy with the speeds im getting but there is always room for more.
