Is this worth 350? Or would I be better off with a trx4 sport or Everest gen7 sport?
@TheRCNetwork6 жыл бұрын
Pass on the Everest Gen 7 - Now comparing this to a TRX4? Maybe the Sport version is very comparable...but whay you get from the traxxas is support with parts and of course aftermarket upgrades are galore. THe HPI is riddled with part support issues and literally no upgrades available through aftermarket brands. The Regular TRX4 with all the locking diffs and 2 speed - IMO, it's all gimmicky.
@xKINGRAVEN876 жыл бұрын
Just curious as to why pass on the gen7? no support? Most likely gonna go with the trx4 sport.

Kind of a dated design at this point. Pumpkins are huge compared to axial, vaterra and traxxas. Plastic links on an rtr scaler are also old hat at this point. Battery alllll the way to the rear. The new Carisma Coyote entry level rtr scaler looks like a better buy.

@TheRCNetwork5 жыл бұрын
AkosiMRswabe at the time, this was pretty decent in the world of crawling - behind the axle steering, front motor design, darn decent shocks and many other items. Unfortunately, HPI had some issues. This should have come out prior to the TRX4 and things would have been different. Also didn’t help that HPI has been through two new parent companies now. @@TheRCNetwork fs racing crawler is an scx10.2 under different branding. Fs racing being the OEM. Not sure why you think hpi is more higher spec just because it costs a lot more, another example is hpi using plastic links so again took the cheaper option and cut corners. Fs racing never went cheap on anything despite the low cost, See just some of the below spec of the fs. A hobby grade rock crawler from FS Racing. This fantastic looking model features a highly detailed jeep polycarbonate shell, LED lights. It is an advanced crawler with CNC main gear and main shaft, "C" channel chassis frame with cross braces, strong steel suspension and steering linkages and metal lockers in the front and rear differentials. The feature list goes on and on with waterproof electronics, bolt on link mounts for easy adjustments and 45 degrees of steering making this rock crawler a top of the range climbing beast. DETAILS The rock crawler is powered by a 550 brushed motor and comes fully built complete with 2.4GHz radio system and rechargeable 7.2V battery pack with charger. With a model that looks like this you are going to want to hit the off road pretty hard so with that in mind all the electronics have been upgraded to waterproof and dust proof versions and the differentials are impact resistant.
