HPI had a letter on there sight last year about how they acquired the company and were on there way back. They also said they would put there efforts first on there replacement parts division and grow from there. So far have not seen or heard from them since. It’s to bad I was a HPI fanboy.

I have the electric flux version of this exact car it’s a ton of fun you’ll like this one! Surprisingly good traction from the tires too on many surfaces. My Flux does at least around 50mph on 3s. I took the body off though it was to nice to drive and they are pretty expensive to replace and hard to find lol if that matter to you. Cheers 🇨🇦🍻👍

@@inngotrcexperience6716 I own some Traxxas vehicles too, more for straight-line speed runs, or bashing that's all they are good for, only my erevo can actually do anything on an rc track. The WR8 can actually get around an on-road track or dirt track (without jumps), it does really well w/a few minor adjustments.

Hpi are dead. They were the king's in the nitro days, but when everything moved to electric they were surpassed. They just stopped innovating and kept making the same stuff. :( Look how bad a jumpshot is compared to a firestorm. The never updated the savage properly to fix the problems like other companies do. They just changed the body and wheels colour and expect nobody to notice.

Lawrence Timme I don’t think their completely gone as they’re still producing stock occasionally. I do agree with you though - in the two stroke era they were definitely extremely popular and definitely king in terms of RTR spec models. Yeah, you nailed it there - they stopped innovating and they stopped improving on the product line they already had. I hope nitro and 2 stroke petrol become popular again.... I feel it in the air more and more these days - some great KZbinrs out there inspiring people to get back on it again 🤞🤝🔥⛽️🚀💥

@@inngotrcexperience6716 yeah it would be nice to see nitro come back, most people these days aren't into scaling and crawling unfortunately which I would find incredibly boring. I think I have 5 electric and 1 nitro. I would love the get another nitro again though.
