They should include an LS engine option since it is a restomod. Nicely done, Sir.

Great looking model. I used to live for building models when I was young. But then, 1/25 scale car models like this used to cost only $1.25 - $1.50 each. I was shocked seeing what the current prices are for the same kits I used to build as a kid. Bottles of paint that I used to pay $.59 for are now $5 - 6.00. Luckily I've stocked up quite a good collection of kits through the years to keep me busy for probably the rest of my life. Lol.

I built this kit in its original stock form in 2000 and it was just as impressive as the earlier 1950 Chevy pickup. I'm glad to see it back out again with the customizing parts, because with that you can truly individualize it some more. One of the things that impressed me about this kit too when I got it was that it had a full list of factory paint schemes in the instructions, and this decal sheet is miles better because in the late 90s/early 2000s AMT/Ertl's decal sheets were three pairs of license plates and nothing else! Now I've seen the full build, the Mod Podge on the "woodgrain" on the bed floor gives it a nice varnished effect that adds to the custom look.

Nice looking kit. I always paint the underside of trucks with a wood bed flat black and say it is undercoating. Very nice detail work. Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love that kit! Suggestion for the Round 2 guys, for the next reissue, why not make it a 1960 CMC K1000 4x4? And since the 283 can be found everywhere, why not put in the GMC-exclusive big 305 V6? That would open up a lot of possibilities for the kitbash guys, as well as make one heck of a cool truck as is! But sadly I've heard that GMC are a huge pain when it comes to licensing; is that true?
