Congrats on the 100K milestone! I first encountered this channel during lockdown four years ago and have seen it grow tremendously since then in terms of how you document the build process. It'd be nice to see this next to the Revell Snap Tite version you built a while ago when it's finished. I'm presently working on the Revell one and I realize it's a later and probably more "upmarket" model and different in several respects.

Nice to see. Thanks for the review. The part numbers on the sprues are a hangover from the Matchbox era ownership. Indeed, the instructions you show are 100% Matchbox in layout, design and symbols used. I remember a lot of this kit on the old Papa Truck I built back in the day. The frames look very long. I wonder are they just the Papa Truck frames? This would make the kit look overly long though? Definitely not like the box art...

I have the original release I put together, I have done a couple of these thru the years, I shorten the frame, move rear suspension forward and cut off the end, works good and I think the truck looks better. I also live in WI.

i had just turned 8 years old and rode in a KW cabover( no Aerodyne though) to NYC from Lockport ,NY for the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade in 1974.... even that long ago i still remember just how bumpy that ride was!!

I had the BJnBear version back when I was a Teenager, still have some parts from it and the 8v92 got swapped into a Revell K100 Aerodyne with twin aircleaner stacks.

A white paint job with red stripe and some BJ Mckay and the Bear decals. that what i plan to build with my version. But as Chris always say build it the way you want to build it.

The real one came out in 1976. You could spec them with the Red, White and Blue paint scheme. Cabovers are a novelty now days.

I’ve been a diesel mechanic for 40+ years. There were hardly any of these trucks issued with Detroit diesels. Mostly Cummins and Cats. If they had a Detroit it was a 60 series not a screaming jimmy.

seen a few here in OZ with 3408's and 8v92s not as common as Cummins and 3406 powered ones......but you can tell when one goes past!
