Started my packet. With navy, army and Air Force. Very long. Very hard. Worth it tho.

Awesome video and I love the vibe! I had a question as I'm a current senior and got accepted to dental schools 3 weeks ago, and was wondering if I still had to maintain a good GPA in my first year of dental school when applying for a 3 year HPSP next year (I did not apply for the 4 year HPSP). Or would it be just your DAT score and undergrad GPA that matters?

Hey Mickey, I'll ask the guys and let you know asap

A classmate of mine said that on the 3-year application, you are asked for a dental school transcript, so yes you probably need to maintain a good GPA

HPSP ONLY FOR US CITIZEN. 🤷🏻♂️ If you’re American you’re good. If not, not happening. Sorry

Can you expand your dental career and become an orthodontist while on active duty ?

hey! I just asked them, i'll have an answer for you shortly

Iman from the video. There are navy orthodontists, but they typically receive their training once they do their first 4 yrs of service, and doing a navy general residency makes you a more competitive applicant to speacialize. Obviously i dont have the full picture yet as a first year, but apart from rare exceptions this seems like the path to specialize in the navy

@@imanz7681 oh okay thank you ! , I personally would like to become an orthodontist right after my certification as a dentist so i think the HPSP scholarship would not be the best option. Since like you said, the 4 years of service after you graduate needs to be completed first.
