Well the only thing I can respect about his transition is that he waited and did it entirely on his own volition. I think parents should not succumb to their young child's demands and wait for them to grow it out first. Gender dysphoria I feel is also a spectrum in which you have severe cases and the mild ones you can outgrow or overturn. So please consider therapy before choosing something super invasive like hormone therapy and gender reaffirming surgery that is hard to reverse or permanent.
