Thank you for the suggestions. I have my machine in the Little Foot frame, but struggled to move a quilt around under the domestic machine. Nice suggestion for creating the quilt grid and I love the Versa ruler!

Thank you so much for this HQ Live! I am happy the sit down quilters seem to be getting some more love in recent months. One thing I would love to see demonstrated in one of these videos is how to use the basting function. The only videos I have ever seen use it are for after you have spray basted a quilt and then use the basting function to further anchor the quilt prior to quilting, but I'm wondering if there is a way to baste without spray basting it first and just use the Sweet Sixteen. Thanks again, HQ and especially Debbie Brown!

I’m interested I possibly purchasing a sweet sixteen...I have a few sewing dealers close to me, but I’m having trouble finding who would carry it or order it for me...I really don’t want to make a major purchase like that until I’ve tried it ...if I can’t get it with a dealer ordering it, what do u suggest?

Hi loving this....Why dont they make a sixteen with a built in regulator?
@brendagroelz61597 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by built-in regulator. The HQ Sweet Sixteen comes with stitch regulation, the HQ TruStitch.
@maryrynski71507 жыл бұрын
I know exactly what you mean. I want a stitch regulator I don't have to drag around and manage in addition to managing the quilt top, not to mention trying to do ruler work at the same time.
@musicmom6147 жыл бұрын
It is not that hard to do. I have stitch regulator and use rulers all the time. I place my hand on ruler to hold and other on regulator. I manage quite well and have done many large quilts.
@maryrynski71507 жыл бұрын
If you have one hand on the ruler and one hand on the stitch regulator, how do you move the quilt. I only have two hands.
@musicmom6147 жыл бұрын
It can be done very slowly. It is the way your position hands. You don't have to hold stitch regulator but I find it needs to be close in proximity to the ruler. I think there are some youtube videos.

Do you know if this frame can be adapted to a Babylock Tiara 3??
@flyred77 Жыл бұрын
This is not a frame, it is a table, made especially for the HQ Sixteen series and I believe for Amara also. So the answer would be no.
@andreastaiano14487 жыл бұрын
where would one find the "golden threads paper"?
@brendagroelz61597 жыл бұрын
It's available from your local Handi Quilter retailer. You can find them at www.HandiQuilter.com. If you don't have a local retailer, you can purchase it at www.GoldenThreads.com.

Do you need to put a slip Matt on the table so the fabric doesn’t drag ?
@flyred77 Жыл бұрын
Yes, Handi Quilter makes one you can buy.

The machines come with instruction books just like every sewing, embroidery, or quilting machine do. Changing the needle is a no-brainer. I will suggest, you need to keep the manual in front of you at all times so you can refer to it, until you know, understand, and are capable of doing everything in your sleep. And if you are a dreamer. You will soon realize it has worked its' way into the fiber of your very being.
