When they wanted to be, Three Dog Night could be the best cover song band in Rock. They put a unique spin on each song they didn't individually write themselves. A very very underrated and super talented band.

Check out the KZbin video of Argent performing this song (written by their guitarist and lead vocalist Russell Ballard) live on German TV in 1972. Three Dog Night's successful cover (#7 U.S. hit single in early 1971) convinced Ballard to focus on songwriting for other artists, in addition to Argent.

Yeah, the vocals always sounded muffled.........BUT........that gave it an edge, something different, perhaps the reason I loved this song so much. Or maybe because I had been lied to a lot in my life and was just an angry young man. No matter, I love it.

Hey Man, I appreciate you. I just strip the video and download the audio and tweek it for myself. You go to the trouble of doing all that and reposting for all. Without access to the master, there's only so much you can do. I convert to wav. files for my system and then tweek, but I have a studio to work with and can strip digital layers just like the mp3 16 bit/44kBps up to 32bit and over 96k kHz. If you can set your Q factor on your EQ or a 32 channel parametric you can roll of the high end hiss at about 16-18k -4 to 6 dB. I use a de-esser. and run a soft knee 3:1 compressor for everything above 16K. Most can't hear it anyway. Keep it up. When I download; I look to see if you've got it. You do usually have a better original to work with than others. The bitchers ought to know they can only get what their computer and what YT is capable of. If they want real HQ, lossless 24bit 96kHz, they'll have to stream it, Keep thr faith brother.
