hi Rusty cars are best to have body shells dipped /stripped . That way you massively reduce of rust ever coming out again .

G’day mate where I live there’s no one around here that does that but it looks like I’m replacing a lot of the steel anyway I’m taking my time to do a lot of preparation before I seal up anything and make sure I use a good quality rust converter to stop rust ever coming back hopefully Do you know what it cost to get a car dipped I’ve only ever had things Sandblaster

Mate I’ve been trying to find a video of someone replacing the inner sill panels for a while. I have the exact same issue as you on my HG kingswood wagon. Both inner sill and outer sill are gone and I’ve never replaced them

G’day mate I had the same issue, I looked and I couldn’t find anyone who had done an inner sill only outer I’m going through the whole car I just ripped out the back floor today I’m going to Mini Tub the car also and redo the boot Rear quarters also under the front windscreen it’s my first attempt and I’m finding it not that hard to do

@@stevenJEDI3 mine is also my first restoration, I’ve cut out the plenum and next will be the dash as it’s rusted really bad. My drivers side sill is toast and most of the floor

I’ve just been taking plenty of measured photographs and keeping everything at the moment that I’m cutting off, so if I run into a hick up I can look back at photographs or all the parts

@@stevenJEDI3 that’s a smart idea… I’m so worried about bracing and supporting the whole car. I started cutting the plenum chamber out and then freaked out that I twisted the car. Everything I doi worrie am I doing it right because I’m not a pro at this. I’m just using common sense and asking guys with experience..

@@nathanmacready872 I’d say don’t stress just do your best and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t get any panel distortion by taking out the front plenum and Cowell, I’ve removed mine and I’m waiting for some 1.2 Cold roll steel So I can make a start myself
