תודה על הסרטון. לראשונה זכיתי לצפות את מקום מגורי ( בכל הרחוב) במקום מושבי מול מסך המחשב.

I see that everyone commented in English so I'll do the same (even though the whole video is in Hebrew) 🙂 I like your videos , especially on the light rail project since I'm a rail fan and I live abroad so I cannot check it out myself. Just wanted to add/correct some of the things you've said here: The Green line starts with two extensions in Rishon Lezion , that unite in Holon and enters Tel Aviv through Derech Ben Zvi, passes through Pinhas Lavon and Sderot Har Tsiyon where it goes underground before Levinsky. In the original plan the line was suppose to be completely at street grade, including in Ibn Gabirol but the Mayoe (Ron Huldai) insisted it's not viable amd managed to change the plan. The line will have 4 underground stations, one in Carlebach (the station is in the final stages as it also serves the red line that will open in November) and the 3 construction sites you've visited. The last stop is Nordau that was first planned as an underground station but it's too close to the Yarkon river so there wasn't enough distance for the train to go out of the tunnel so the station will be on street level after the train goes out and cross the river on a new and a long bridge (700) that will also also cross Sderot Rokach and than, still on the bridge, the Riding station. The lone will cross Sderot Rocach again near the convention center as the line splits near Einstein street, on section continues to Herzelia and the other withh pass through Ramat Aviv and the Tel Aviv University and than pass over the Ayalon highway over a bridge, have a stop on the bridge above the University train station and cross Sderot Rokach to continue east up to Ramat Haayal/Atidim/Neve Sharet. In the Ibn Gabirol/Arlozerov junction the line that crosses it passing along Arlozorov is the Purple line, that starts at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central railway station (turninng south in Ben Yehuda, tha, east on Allenby than Levinsky (meeting the Green line again). The construction site in Ibn Gabirol/Arlozerov is of a huge building project that will also include a new city hall building (in addition to the existing once - it will not replace it). The first stage of the construction of the underground stations is to move existing infrastructure, including the road, to allow passage of cars (which will be moved more than once during constructions). In General LRT (light rail transit) is usually slower than a metro, since it's usually not fully grade separated but it's definitely not slow and is better than a bus. The LRT has a dedicated lane (when it's sharing the street with cars it's a street car) and only crosses roads in junctions where it has the right of way, which means that although it might stop at lights it will be a short stop as the system gives it priority. Apart from that, it can carry more people than a bus and have a few connected sets. In Tel Aviv and Jerusalem the trains uses twe sets that can carry 450 people. Apart from that the ride is faster and more comfortable. Wen the system was planned LRT was selected due to the budget restrictions and the expected ridership at that time. As we know the project had long delays after the company that was suppose to build it (after winning a BOT tender) could not get the required financing due to the 2008 world crisis and only after years of delays the Israeli government nationalized the project so construction only started in 2015. It's now clear that those 3 LRT lines (the original plan was for 5 LRT lines and 3 BRT lines, two of them not even connected to the main system) so they added a second plan for 3 full metro lines (with a total of 150km and 109 stationsan an estimated cost of 150-200 billion NIS) that in an advanced approval stage.

I forgot one more thing. Ibn Gabirol street itself is facing a huge change. The construction of the Green line led to a new urban renewal plan that will add 2500 housing unit (at least 50% each building must be housing units. 25% of them must be small apartments of up to 50 m2) and more commerce and employment, mostly by demolishing and rebuilding new ones with up to 8 floors (6 in the white city area while maintaining the current style of the street, including the colonnades. All new buildings must include a street facing commerce and an employment business on the first floor (second for the Americans among you). This also means that the whole street will be renovated to include wider sidewalks and proper bike lanes. There will be no street parking at all (and limited street parking in adjacent streets) and in most places no car park entrances will be allowed from this street.
