The misuse of the accusation of antisemitism has only diminished the meaning of the term . This could prove to be very dangerous for Jews in general in the future . The story of " the boy who cried wolf " comes to mind .The current leadership of Israel itself appears to be antisemitic .

I personally think we need to take away its power so it's not used as a weapon. What people think of you is not your business, as I've been taught. That's my response. Not Jewish and I don't believe people hate Jews anymore like they did 80 years ago, the world has moved on. Jews were not the only people genocided and the whole point of the anti-semitic charge being exceptional was because of the Holocaust and never again. Well it has not worked. And look who's doing one. So it's just pointless and better to ignore it if anyone accuses you of it. Unless someone has a reasonable objection that's my response.

Advocates are very often heinously malicious towards those whose interests they are claiming to represent. Honest Psychiatry in the USA will say to a client in a mental health center, "No, you don't want an advocate from here representing you!" And then they will cite good reasons why , and tell the client that they will do better by themselves freely representing themselves!!!
