They announced way back at LAUNCH of Endwalker female Hrothgar were coming. Or did everyone simply forget? I mean, sure took them a few years and a whole other expansion to release the other half of the race. But, they made the announcement years ago, people.

They also made the announcement they could be fixing and adding Hrothgar hairs and yet they're sitting at less than half the hairs male Hyur have. That's about 4 years ago now.

because a big surge of them will be people playing them for the fad reason of being a new race not because they actually want to stay one, until they eventually get bored and they aren't new anymore and the people will phantasia back into their preferred race. then after that point it will just be the normal audience that wants to actually be hrothgirls playing as them then it will equal itself out.

I also anticipate this. It'll be interesting to watch. Esp since I'm pretty sure most Hrothgar men are played by gay men-furries and they do not like women. I mean obviously- but no seriously they DO NOT LIKE women in their spaces at all. Sooo... Yeah the Hroth-ladies will probably intermingle I bet.

I wish they were more muscled, more feral and ferocious. Right now they looks like a femroe (which i play) mix with a miqote with more fur... I wanted big muscular dangerious female hrothgar, instead we got this... disapointed.

@@FairySnailWorkshop Hmmm... I don't know that I fully agree. Fem Roes have broad shoulders. However, it could just be more noticeable on Elezen because they have small heads and long necks, so the shoulders are more noticeable.

They look fine overall to me, but i could have used a lil extra muscle on em. But I get it's in the realm of what people expect. Cuz like, that concept art with the red Hrothgal makes me go CRAZY. But then i see some of the preview characters and go "this is fine." Then again, I felt similarly to the pre selected viera males. They all looked mid to me before people started making actual good ones.

To be sure I ain't a fan of furries either, but for me, there's a sort of distinction between the furry subculture and a character design that just so happens to be anthropomorphic, and that's kinda how I'd come to view Hroths insofar as my own experiences with fantasia-ing to one once in a while. Also I ain't really seeing where the uncanny allegations come from--I think male viera are still the biggest culprits of that, and that's more the faces. Granted, it's the same stuff folks were saying when male Hroths were first unveiled and now no one is saying that.

My fiance plays a male Hrothgar as his main, and he has a group he runs with, so there is at least one male Hrothgar who interacts with others than his own race. As of right now I run a female Miqo'te who we are working on them getting together, but after this video I am kind of think of changing her to a female Hrothgar 🤔

I think they look fine. If they got even more muscle then you might as well play a male Hrothgar. The female Hrothgar base already has more muscle than most beast female in anime like Beastars.

Calling it right now, Femgar use the miqo skull and that's why the beast face looks so uncanny, it's just a cat face plastered onto a human head. There's no way in hell SE repeats the Hrothgar 'custom skull' disaster.

The incentive to switch to the new gender is extremely lacking. The most played races are by far the petite female characters. The tall mature bunny women barely made a dent and female roe are not really all that well liked unless you want a woman with extra parts. Female Hroth are just furry versions of female roe. We might see a few running around but I have doubts they'll make a splash in the popularity bucket, as much as people say they love muscle mommies the actual data shows that people want petite girly girls.

I think wuk lamat looked great in game too! I'm sure there's gonna be some options that come out that'll make them look nicer! But the showcase ones looked a bit off to me. We'll see!!

Honestly, I hope to be wrong, but from the trailers the animations look _off._ I'm an advocate for more big, burly women in media because I think it's an underrepresented demographic, but right now the female Hrothgar animations just look like they're from the same cloth as my Roe lass' animations but without the same _energy._ Which is a shame. As whilst I've always vouched that Roes had the most expressive animation sets and I stand by that, Hrothgar have always had a certain goofiness to theirs which was really charming in their own right which I'm sadly not getting from what we've seen of the female ones (in a non-cutscene context, that is.) The animations just aren't selling me on 'em yet. They don't have the goofiness of the Hroth guys but likewise don't have the same expressiveness and energy of the Femroes. Kind of in this weird limbo.

They messed them up. You cannot have big eyes like the princess. Nor the color. The face is only available for "the lost" but they only have blue hair. So many things wrong with fem. Hrothgar creation

For god's sake...what does Yoshi and his development team have against THICKNESS?! UUUGH! I just can't take it anymore! You have half starved miqote who got their butts literally stripped off of em before ARR. You have their petite cookie cutter clones (no offense, but basing this off the sketches of what Auri females COULDVE been before the last minute scale downs to go with the same iti biti school girl look) Bunnies are average, breaking even, elezens...elegant? Femroes, muscular. But except for highlander thighlanders, no one has hips! No. I'm not talking about the slim, petite, slightly meaty thighs, tummy of a blossoming...young lady. I'm talking about the lusciously curvaceous, soft, moderately plump, yes plump body of a damn woman! After 2 attempts to get it right (and getting scared off course by public opinion,) Hrothgar females were the shot to FINALLY get it decently right. And ..ugh. Femroes already have the muscle area established. Even if Hrothgals have a hand in that area...it feels like the softer 'mommie' element...got butched out... I give up.😢 ....erp will probably be incredible though ..
