Wow. Other than the performance itself, this is the cleanest, clearest live recording of the Hungarian Fantasy I have ever heard. Props to the sound engineer, fantastic job.

This is one of the best performances of this piece that I've heard. The pianist is truly a Liszt pianists. Excellent technique, excellent phrasing, excellent colors, excellent articulation and dynamics. Excellent no nonsense no ego conducting. Excellent orchestra. I love this piece on so many levels. A great performance indeed. And great composition. Liszt's Hungarian Fantasy. Don't forget Bruch's Scottish Fantasia. Another masterpiece in a similar genre, but for violin and orchestra.

YES, "Ach du lieber, mein schatz"!!! WOW! This "young upstart" - Wonderful power, brilliance, & preciseness!!! He deserved a BOESENDORFER! Even though this is a pretty old video, I've come to really love this orchestra a lot! And the "lady clarinetist", she really got "bodily" into her solos! Franz List - a "master of piano masters"! WOW!!! "Gesundheit"!

Excellent performance - not sure why the return of the opening melody at the end was played at a fast tempo rather than 'grandioso.' Perhaps a little more Cziffrian daredevil approach would have made this performance even more electrifying.
