Hruodland Pilot Watch

Well this was an interesting showcase of a pair of Hruodland Pilot watches i picked up from the 11.11 sale. All was good with both purchased under $300, PT5000 movement, both really good lume, and strap monsters. It wasn't until I started to wind them, that a problem arouse.
As one was intended for my dad as Christmas present and the other for me, I still feel they are great watch, even though I like the fully lume version and that's the one my dad picked for himself.

It is a known issue with the PT5000, which is nearly never lubed, when winding the 'clutch mechanism' does engage and you end up turning the rotor at the same time.

@7:37 you attach the compass, has any magnetic impact? Or the watch has antimagnetic?

not to sure as to the magnet properties of the compass, it was purchased from sangin instrument and they do have both auto/quartz model you can attach them to...

I debated for a long time whether to get the black or the white one on this 11.11 sale. The black has that beautiful blued hands, while the white is just sexy.

with having both in hand, it is very hard, the looks of the blued hands but that full lumed dial is crazy...

Are u still using this watches and how it's last long lume ? 4-5 hour ?

I do not have them anymore, but they were pretty good, with the full lume being a bit more bright...

Do you know if the hands are heat treated blued or painted blue?

@@justabouttime1055 They might be. Apparently the somewhat cheaper Escapement Time fliegers are heat treated. This watch is almost a spot on copy of the German made Dekla.

Hmm. I have two pt5000s. One is as smooth as butter. The other a bit tough but not like urs.

I will show this to the Hruodland Rep. San Martin is a sister company, and they might spend a bit more time on the movements. I have a Cronos 🐢 with a PT5000, and it is fantastic. This noise issue will addressed.

It isn't hit or miss. I have Hruodland FF homage with an SW200, and my watch guy, Rick Hoover, regulated the movement. He said that the overall quality was way beyond the $400. I need to find out if the final assembly is done in one place, or by the owner's of the stores. That could be where a QC issue can appear where it might not otherwise.
