I am curious about your comparisons. What whoop tells me is very different from what I get with hrv4training. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video . The app is great and absolutely worth it also considering the the background information you can get . I vs been using it with the camera and finger . One week ago I got the oura ring. Somehow I can’t see the advantage of having the ring doing the reading . Do you see an advantage Only In regards to accuracy and neglecting the advances for sleep tracking and etc. which you have with the ring ? What is the best way of measuring according to the inventor ? Strap, ring or camera ? Thanks

Can you test the other HRV apps that are free but have subscriptions for more information? For comparison.

Great info once again! Nice that it is so affordable and accessible. Do you know whether you need to repay if you switch from an Android device to iOS (or vice versa)?

Great video! I'm curious: Since you have an oura ring and it's compatible, why are you using the camera?

Don’t forget how your caffeine, alcohol, medication intake affected your HRV-we remember stress, sleep, workouts affect our heart rates, but…

Used it for a month and quickly realized that it's BS app. When HRV was normal for garmin everything was normal for the app. But at some point Garmin started reporting lower hrv whereas the app continued to report normal. Funnily 2 days later I was sick, so Garmin was spot on. I tried measuring with the app in different stances, standing up, laying on my back, reclined, but the app would report a great HRV even when I was sick . TL;DR: Not worth the money or the hype

Garmin looks at all these factors as well with no subscription fee (after the purchase of the watch).

After watching the review, the app looks excellent, but actually when I think about it, I completely agree with you - I find the garmin watch very accurate as a training indicator for that day using RHR, sleep quality & their Body battery measure. My body battery regularly returns to 100% except on days where I have hard sessions and RHR rises a little to help with recovery (which then affects sleep quality). I don’t want to have to follow a set routine, I prefer to know my own body, with the garmin nearly always backing that up

@@paddydowney6269 I have a Fenix 5+ so no body battery but I just look at my stress score. If it's under 30 in the morning, then I'm going to run. If it's over 40, I'm likely sick. There can be reasons for a high score (playing 8 hours of chess and getting little sleep results in a very high stress score) but Garmin devices are overall pretty good at predicting how my body is doing. I will upgrade to get the body battery someday but I'm happy with my 5+ right now.

What smart ring do you suggest to use with the app?

Maybe sensor is already 'locked' in use with another app, make sure to close all apps that you pair with the sensor e.g. strava, or your sensors native app

I just don't understand why you would need this app if you have a garmin watch...
