HS2 Colne Valley Viaduct

Work progresses across the viaduct with parapet fitting now at the river colne, making good piers at ground level etc

Thanks for the video - glad to see it's progressing well. An absolutely stunning display of architecture right there. Can't wait to see what it looks like once they start track laying and putting up the catenary - not that it'll be for a while anyway I'd assume. :)

Wait till the Delta Junction at Water Orton just outside Birmingham opens, it will be the spaggitie Junction of the Railways with it crossing a River, two Motorways and an existing Railway line, the height of the piers in some places on the junction will be like flying on a roller coaster especialy on the Birmingham leg comming off the Junction then under the Bromford Tunnel then at Washwood Heath in Birmingham riding a series of bridges and Viaducts into Birmingham Curzon Street Station, when this line finnaly open with it's 225 mph trains running it wil be a marvel of modern construction

Hey thanks for your comment. HS2 is the UK’s second high speed line with trains due to travel at over 200 mph from London to Birmingham. This viaduct spans over several lakes and is being constructed in North West London. Where are you watching from?…I used to write a lot more information in the beginning…

TOP Tip.. If viaduct is in an earthquake area, then rigid, otherwise any design is gravity

The haulage road is temporary

I believe the 'road' you're referring to is the temporary one they've installed to aid construction of the viaduct. Once it is complete, the road will be removed.
