It's not even a landing strip, it is a heavy veh car park. Oh well, it has since been repaired and flown countless times.

Oh man that sucks. If you did what I think, I've done that a couple of time by accident hit the throttle kill switch in stead of my gear switch but as long as I didn't bring the throttle stick all the way down the motor keep on running. Now that am thinking about it maybe I should move that switch to the other side of the TX. Hope you can fit it with little cost. The good thing is that it didn't come down in the parking lot on top of any vehicles.

I deactivated the "throttle cut" function for my F-16. I use this function for my 3D Mig-29 because I need the fan running at idle speed during landing. I once accidentally bumped into the switch for the function during a vertical hand launch of the Mig-29... ...

Ok I kind on figure something like that happen from the statement posted in the video. As I mention I've done that a few time but always recover as long as your up high eight or have enough speed. Well good luck with the repair or rebuild. The place I fly now I've seen two guys lose turbine jets 1 cost $15k the other guys lose 2 cost $20k each och. I would be crying like a baby.

Me too. This thing really drops like a stone once the thrust is gone. In perfect hindsight, the pilot should have maintained the above-level-gliding-speed until the final flare?

I wouldn't want to risk gliding this plane without power over the vehicles.

But you landed on an wide open area, didn't you? I think that's a wise move. Maybe the area was not as open as it appeared to be?
