I got to fly a real full size Extra 330 a few years ago. My oldest Daughter bought a 2 hour flight experience!!! Got to really got to ring it out! They let me do loops, rolls, crazy 7G dives!! What a blast!!! Still love my RC planes, with the crazy stunts I like to preform, it always better to walk up to one of my crashes than being scooped out of a crash!! LOL!!!

So I have to ask. How does it feel compared to a edf? I have a lot of edfs, 90mm f4,f15, f16, f22, 80mm f14, a10, l39, anantiS. I mean throttle response, weight, etc. I really wanna transition to turbine and this looks like a awesome next step. I am tired of the 3 min flight times and charging battery after battery.

So have you got one yet? Mine hasn't flown yet but I have some numbers: weight is tad under 8 kg when topped up. Throttle response can be tweaked and pushed but I've settled at around 2,5 s from idle to full chat - you don't normally fully close the throttle in flight and the response from say 70% to 100% is almost instantaneous. I've also added a "turbine simulation" mode to my EDFs so I can get used to the lag and can see if it's an issue with my flying style. I expect it to feel like a heavy thing going on rails when compared to my (mostly foamie) EDFs - and going really fast with full power (due to the high delta-V of a turbine, the quoted thrust is actually available in flight and not just a theoretical figure that you can see in a test bench with unlimited airflow etc).
