Commercial soap doesn’t need water / salt part !!! This was actually to remove glycerin from handmade soap 🧼 while commercial soap is processed and doesn’t contain glycerin.

When you add the wet soap to the sodium carbonate (washing soda), it hydrates it and becomes something more like sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), even after you leave it out to dry. To me, this seems a bit of a waste of washing soda! At least in the US, baking soda is much cheaper, so I'd just use that instead. You can turn baking soda into washing soda by using a lot of heat, like putting it in the oven. Since your product is mixed with soap I'm not sure how this would work. Have you tried it?

To separate the soap from the water. The chemical reaction separates the oils and lye out of the water, that way it's easy to harvest both. Becuase soap is basically lye and fat and water, if one is higher than the other, the imbalance causes it to separate. It's smart and creative way, I appreciate this channel for bringing us basic soaps needs. So grateful.

Super. Salting out is important tobremove glycerine which gets left behind in the water. Glycerine will clog washing machines.

煮過肥皂的鍋子，拿來煮飯沒有差吧～我們吃的碗和鍋，平時也是用洗劑或洗碗皂洗乾淨啊！ 記得看過「程老師的作皂講義」一書，有說過這事，其實是心理因素，打過皂的鍋，以後作飯也沒問題。 當然常打皂的達人們，因為太常使用，所以當然分開就好。因為工具多，分開也方便。

This doesn't work well for front-loading machines unless you dissolve it into a gel and add it directly to the clothes in the washing cycle. Works well for top loaders but only if added directly to the water and not in the dispenser.

@@張苡甄 甘油可以滋潤肌膚，不過單純的皂基也不會太傷手啦～ 這裡面傷手的部分主要是碳酸鈉跟過碳酸鈉喔～ 因為是做洗衣粉，需要那兩個東西加強清潔能力，如果你是要拿來洗手，就不要加那兩樣東西了 直接把浮在上面的肥早拿來用吧（但我不確定怎麼用，可能當洗手乳？ 鹽析要用飽和鹽水，25 °C 時鹽的溶解度是 36.0 g/100 g，至於一公斤的殘皂要加多少鹽，這取決於你用了多少水。 如果你用了 5 公升的水去煮，大概要加快兩公斤的鹽吧XDD 但我看 ​ @Oh我的雙牛寶貝兒/Yvonne 好像沒加這麼多，詳細可以問他 （其實我沒有做過 zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%B0%AF%E5%8C%96%E9%92%A0
